Autonomous Driving is a technology that relies on a computer-based intelligent system to replace artificial driving tools to complete the purpose of traffic travel. It integrates many technologies such as automatic control, architecture, artificial intelligence, visual design, etc., and is a product of the high development of computer science, pattern recognition and intelligent technology. The industry has been developing rapidly in recent years, and has become a hot topic for the combination of innovative technology and marketable applications.
The session “Innovation and Life – Autonomous Driving: Green Travel in the Future” was moderated by Johnson Choi, Executive Director and Vice President of Sunwah Group, President of Sunwah Hi-tech Group. Jonathan Choi, Director General of the Administrative Center for China’ s Agenda 21, Ministry of Science and Technology of China, delivered a speech in the session. Zhang Kun, Chief Investment Officer of WM Motor; Tony Han, WeRide Founder & CEO; U Leong Hou, Interim Head of Centre for Data Science, University of Macau; Wu Xiaqing, Co-Founder and CEO, DeepMap Inc; Yang Qingxiong, CEO of MoonX; and Rocky Shi, President of Cross Stars Technology Group, made professional speeches on topics of the key technology research and development and production application of automatic drive cars, automatic drive taxis and automatic drive buses, the development history and application prospect of high-precision maps, the creation of vehicle-road coordination system and vehicle networking, and the emerging vertical application of drones respectively, by means of data analysis, scenario demonstration, and case sharing.
Jonathan Choi mentioned in his speech that autonomous driving was by far the most challenging and promising application of artificial intelligence. The United States, China is at the forefront of the world's two countries of autonomous driving, China is likely to become the world's largest autonomous driving market in the future, and it is expected to 2030, autonomous driving-related new car sales and travel services will generate revenue of more than $ 500 billion, and how far self-driving vehicles deployed by service providers travel , will account for 11% of the total mileage of the passenger side.
