On November 10, the first conference of Boao Forum for Asia International Forum on science, technology and innovation opened in Macao. China’’s president Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory letter to the opening of the conference.
Xi Jinping pointed out that in the world today, the new revolution in science and technology and industrial transformation are just unfolding, bringing profound changes to human development, and providing a new path for solving and coping with global development challenges and challenges.
Xi Jinping emphasized that science and technology should benefit all mankind. At present, novel coronavirus pneumonia is facing new challenges all over the world. China is willing to work with other countries to strengthen scientific and technological innovation and cooperation, promote more open, inclusive, mutually beneficial and shared international scientific and technological innovation exchanges, and contribute to promoting global economic recovery and safeguarding people’’s health. Boao Forum for Asia and the government of Macao Special Administrative Region jointly hold the International Forum on science and technology and innovation, which will provide an important platform for exchanges and cooperation in global scientific and technological innovation. It is hoped that the conference will focus on the theme of "innovation enabling sustainable development", gather wisdom, enhance consensus and promote cooperation, so as to make scientific and technological innovation better benefit the people of all countries.
